Got this idea from a site member to install a make shift gas cap tether total cost $2.08 at ********'s hardware, since my 2004 Trac didn't have one.

Nice Idea.......

I cut my teather off. I just lay the cap on my bed cover, just above. Havent forgot it yet...

TT,

I had one of those caps. Some of the pumps, It would'nt let me sqeeze full throttle. Kicked off. Also the door spring came off a few times.

I put it on my mom's grand marquis It wouldnt seal. kept setting a code.

Then I filed it under 13.....:toilet:

Clever idea Tracmob. :supercool: Better than the "Under door guard" project IMO.



Note, they are not emissions legal in CA, OR, and WA. No fuel cap trouble code for me yet.

Just be gentle with the inner door spring when filling, tricky repair using mono fishing line
