Cable to gas pedal is off and vehicle will not accelerate.

Does any one know how this works or has a picture of what it looks like?

Was driving down road and lost acceleration. Gas pedal just hanging there.

trying to determine how to fix and if it is an easy one.

Thank you much for your time.

Looks like the cable didnt break, but I am not sure how to put it back on.

Seems like it just popped off but not sure about how it needs to go back on. Any help or picture of on is greatly appreciated. I have an 02.

Thanks

Which end came off? If it is the end under the hood. You will need to roll the throttle open buy hand, then slip the knob on the end in the hole. Then line the cable ine the groove, release the throtle. See the link...

Throttle cable at engine, normal position. Cable with red cap is the Cruise Control.
