Since there have been several threads lately discussing removal and what tools to use, I thought many might find this tool set useful. I bought it for removing interior trim pieces, but it would also be very useful with the fender vents.

No-Mar Tool Set

Using the right tool for the job is a must if you don't want broken parts or scratched paint. This set of 5 pieces is perfect when you're removing fasteners, trim or molding and don't want to damage your paint or those expensive fasteners. No-mar means the tools themselves won't hurt your car or the parts you're removing. The small price is great insurance, and every tool box is incomplete without this set.

I got that set in blue and a smaller set in yellow.

Both with $3.99 coupons at harbor freihgt. 2 sets less than $10

I would say they are just about perfect IF THEY ARE PLASTIC. If they are metal then thats a 100% no go. Its a very fragile area there where the plastic vent housing meets the aluminum fender, and even after you pop all 5 of the clips there is very sturdy 3M double sided tape to be peeled back. Thats where the large thin plastic spackling tool comes in handy :)

Pepper they are not plastic or metal. They they are made from some type of none maring material. Forgot what it is called. here is the small set. I dont have the other pic.

Are they somewhat flexible?

They actually look spot on for the clips, then flip it over and peel back the tape. Would have been useful when I did mine!

They do have some flex. The larger set I have is made the same as yours. Blue in color

The yellows are more for interior. The larger blues are for in and out. pic of the others

I'd never seen the less expensive ones before buying from Moss Muscle.:banghead:

No worries, thought. They've paid for themselves several times over by enabling me to work on vehicles without scratching anything.:supercool:
