Have a Gen 2 SportTrac (2008 model, but built in June 2007).
Have the 18" rims, but always thought the OEM tires looked wimpy (had the 235/65/18).
Did loads of reading on web (mostly here!) to see what tire size I could increase to, without rubbing (and without vehicle modification).
Ended up going with 265/60/18. It's about a half-inch larger in diameter, and a bit over an inch wider.
They look awesome! And no rubbing.
Also... the OEM tires (Michelin Cross terrain) lasted only 20k miles... ugh.
Based on another posting, I called Michelin. They had me go to a local dealer (Discount Tire), who checked the wear pattern, etc... End result:
Got Michelin LTX MS/2's at a deep discount. Very worthwhile to make that phone call! And minimal hassle.
The MS/2's (after a few hundred miles) feel great. Road noise is minimal, and pleased with traction so far...
Hope this info helps the next guy/gal that is looking...
I'll try to take a picture and add that to post later...
