Glass Mount Antenna

Anyone use Glass Mount Antenna's on their Trac?? I have a Ham Radio one that I am thinking of installing but I read on an antenna site that Ford uses some kind of metallic mixture in thier glass that can casue problems with the signal.

Also you guys just mount on the rear window all the way to the top and all the way either right or left??

I have a glass mount on my passenger side rear window for a CB. Have no problems.

I have one for my CB, upper back window on passinger side. Not the strongest , but works fine for my needs.

I use one on the back window (side ones next to roll down window). Not for Ham but for Sat radio. No problems in 3 years.

I know a ham who uses a glass mount on the rear of his 02, and he says it's fine. It's attached about half way up on the right rear side.



I attached my antenna to the underside of the roof rack. Let me know if you need a photo.

I use a mag mount on the roof top! Works well, problem is I have to take it off to clear the garage door!

I use mag mounts for my 2M, scanner, and fire band radios and all are fine.

Cool... Guess I know what I am doing on my day off tomorrow (today).. Little Bath for the baby and then a new Antenna..
