OK, I just want to say that I purchased my sport trac in August of this year. It's a 2002 and had 22,000 miles on it. Very mint!

I live in New England, and these past two weeks mother nature has thrown us wind, rain, freezing rain, sleet and snow. My first real test of the trac, right? Well she passed beautifully. No spinouts. No fishtails. No sliding when braking. Oh, and did I mention that was in 2wd???? YES!!! NO NOTHING!!!

I can't say enough how satisfied I am with my baby. The biggest plus was just answered in the past two weeks. I truely have no worries with her.

God I love my sport trac.

Hey Mike, been driving a ST in CT weather since Nov. 2000. Had a silver 01 and now an 04 in comp o. both great. I see you'er fairly new here, welcome. Maybe we'll meet at a ST meet sometime. Gary D. in CT

I know what you mean. I hauled a Suzuki ATV to Salem, OR (150 mi.) today over a mountain pass with freezing fog and melted snow that refroze. I never had to put into 4WD Once. The only time I spun was at a rest stop when I meant to. The EE swaybar, Reflex shocks and Bridgestone Revo's proved their worth today.

I've found the 2wd Sport Trac, with limited slip and good AT tires, does very well in poor traction conditions. It doesn't snow often down here in the south, but when it does, there are no snow plows or sanders to help the roads. When you go out in the white stuff, it's just you and your vehicle against the conditions.

I love mine too! I wish I could get my hubby to love our baby.:(

Q, get rid of the RT/S tire on that thing, they are awful. I went with the Toyo Open Country A/T and was able to go many places in 2wd that needed 4x4 with the Goodyears.

Gotta remember, pick-up type vehicles, with their weight in the front, are

not the best handling vehicles on the road, anyway.

When you add snow an ice, with the light-weight composite beds of our tracs,

that takes even more traction off of the rear wheels.

Two 80 pound bags of sand, placed over each side of the rear axle, in a two

wheel drive truck, combined with an experienced driver, will make for a much

more pleasureable driving experience when things get slick!!!

It's worked for me many times!:)
