Not an expert, I am sure others will chime in...IMHO I don't think it's a great price for the mileage. I'm assuming 118k for 12K. I paid 21k for my truck one year ago and it had 36k. 07 Limited, V8, all options....At 118k I would assume all the problems will be starting...Let's see what others say. I'd be less concerned about the money then the mileage.

BTW, I love my truck.

I am selling mine for cheaper plus accessories with less miles. I guarantee you won't find one nicer than mine. Look in the swap and sell section under 04 adrenalin lifted. I am going to Cancun for a week starting today but we can talk when I get back if you like what you see. Heck, I will even sell it to you for what the other guy is asking for. Let me know.

It seems like a good deal, as long as nothing major is wrong with it. I'd get a Carfax and have a mechanic look it over, though. $12k is still a good deal of money, and if it's about to require any major service, you should negotiate a lower price. If the frame isn't straight, you might want to pass.

FYI I bought my '07 Limited 4x4 for a little over $20k with 23k miles on the odometer. I still have a month left on the full factory warranty, plus whatever the drivetrain warranty is. I paid nearly twice what you're being offered, but I also have nearly 100k miles less wear and tear on my ST. There are so many other factors; you'll need to decide if it's worth $12k. It never hurts to make a counter offer...

Besides the mechanic (a good idea regardless), if the owner is willing you can collect engine oil samples and send them off for an assay. That report can tell you if the engine has any major problems. IMHO it's worth it for any purchase approaching or exceeding ten grand.
