While working with Goodyear to solve my alignment/camber kit noise problem I got new tires. They wouldn't match an internet price of $137 for Goodyear Fortera Silent Armors but I left the shop with the 4 new tires, mounted, balanced, and aligned (free), for $718.55 after taxes. That's about $150 for each Fortera Silent Armor. Oh yeah, I also qualified for a Goodyear cash card. They look great and so far feel great. One thing's for sure; they are quiet! Coasting = stealth mode.

Yep. My ST's wearing a set also. They ride great. And the road noise is night and day compared to the OEM Wrangler RT/S's.

I am willing to bet that they won't wear wierd either, but the problem isn't the Wrangler RT/S tires. It was something else.

lol, i got these tires on my trac about 6 months ago, then I sold the Trac in March but people jumped all over me for paying too much for tires and I only paid about $750 after a $100 rebate for mine.

I could tell they are much softer than the RT/S's. These Forteras pair up great with my Monroe Reflexes.

Caymen, how'd you know my RT/S's were wearing weird? Cupping on the inside and excessive wear along the middle track. I rotated every 5K and kept psi at 32/34.

Fmarano, that was you? heheh. I remembered that but I forgot you sold the Trac.

edit: They were softer because they only had 22/25 psi.

Well this morning I decided to check tire pressure since the tires have cooled overnight. I come to find out they were set at 22/25 psi only. No wonder they were softer! I hope I don't end up misleading people since I claimed these Forteras were much softer than the RT/S's. Honestly I did kinda like to softer ride but 22/25 psi is ridiculous!
