Got the new rotors and brakes on today

drilled and slotted rotors

new bearings

new seals

ceramic pads

painted calipers

Turned out great and stops much more effectively.

almost ready to leave for Louisville, some cleanging o do and a little more detailing.

Are they noisy? I have a set of the Slotted/DIMPLED rotoes on my ST and it sounds like a helicoptor when I step on the brakes. Been like that since I installed them. They work great though! I put a full set of drilled/slotted rotos on my wife's car and they are quiet. I gess it is the dimples not letting the gasses escape or something....

The sound is caused by the slots and they way they were machined.

I think the ones I have on mine are the EBC ones from Tire Rack. It was so long ago that I put them on with a set of Akebono Ceramic pads, and they are still going strong. Just had the VA state inspection and it passed, so I reckon they still have life in them (Wasn't a cheapie inspection station---I took it to the dealer, so I am sure if it was close they would "have let me know".

No, they are not noisy at all, I am very pleased with the results.

I got the EBC slotted and dippled drilled Sport rotors and I noticed the noise for about 2 days and now I really dont here anything...
