Ok, we all know there are terrible dealerships out there, lots of them. There are some great ones, too, though. Gavin's recent post in another thread prompted me to start this thread. Name a dealership that you consider to be a pleasure to work with. Here's mine:

Hardy Family Automotive Group

Dallas, Georgia

Rasmussen's

Cherry street, Vermilion South Dakota

A&H auto gallery

West Tenth street Greeley Colorado

Advantage auto brokers

tenth street Greeley Colorado

Very small dealer in my home town. Everyone there is pleasant and professional.

Had my full tranny service done for $199, half the price of two much larger dealers.

The dealer I bought my wifes first escape and my trac at. Next town over. Closed down and joined a larger sister group. Too far away for me. They were great to to deal with. Had excellent 5star service.

Now the closest ford dealer to me has been in my town for 50yrs. Their sales people have attitudes. Hard to get one to show you where all the stock is. They mix it up. Or they havent studied. To know what different levels or options of the vehicle youre looking at. Takes too long to make a deal. Even after you have told them what you do and dont want.

They have an excellent record of cars having repairs twice. Before done right...LOL

Shame they have been in bussines soo long. Many Ford dealers in Houston area But many close ones Have closed down. Soo Im stuck with the Ah***s. For a dealer in reasonable distance.

Sort of like Eddie, the Ford dealer that I purchased both of my Sport Trac's from has gone out of business. The were once owned by a larger dealership in Temple, TX but have been sold off to another owner...I have not been back to them since. That does not mean they are a bad dealer, I just don't have any experience with the current owner.

I will say that Mecedes Benz of Waco, TX is an outstanding dealer and I am treated like royalty anytime I stop by. Part of that difference is that all the salesman, techs, and sevice managers have not changed in the last 5 years. When people start going in and out of a dealership like a revolving door, I suspect that they are not a good company to work for or do business with. When people are staying there, they must be doing something right !

Richard, That is like my ford dealer that closed. Anytime I stoped in. They had the same sales and service people. They werent a giant. Kind of Mom and Pop. They moved alot of inventory though and folks drove distances for the service. It was, Bay area Ford in Clear Lake, Johnson space center. Our cities butt up to each other. Found them in 2001. Wifes first escape. There was stability there.

Not so with the 50yr old dealership in my city Pasadena,Tx. Never the same people. Only one I recognize from 30yrs ago. Is a red head guy at the parts counter.

Few yrs ago they built a larger place for more inventory. They got worse. I cant make a good deal. Recently my ex had to have them install. Some new TPMS on her newest escape. She stoped by my house. I had to ask her where are the center caps for her wheels. So back to AC Collins she went....LOL

She said to me, it was a simple mistake. I said no, they havent changed since they opened...LOL

Vernie Jones Ford in Jasper, GA

and Ronnie Watkins Ford in Gadsden, AL

are my two favorties to deal with!!!

Good people at both these places!
