I have a "friend"...

Seriously, it is a female friend of mine that has naturally dark hair. Though I do not think she has an issues, she does...

Who has done what and what is your opinions of the many options out there?

Thanks in advice.

Side note - money itself is not really an issue. If it is $2000 but does what she wants/needs, then it is a viable option..

Lazer......

Had three laser treatments on my back last year. Am going back for 3 more, should have done all 6 (1 per month). Then I would only have a once a year touch up. It works, it is somewhat/very uncomfortable, depending on the location. Imagine a hot matchhead on your skin being snapped by a rubberband. It lasts like 1/10th of a second but you can hear and smell the hair follicles popping and burning. Not bad after the first time, you get used to it. Beware if you have any tatoos! It can damage them. Bob, "call me vain" Caffyn

Thanks guys,,,

Laser does seem to be one of the best options from what I am learning. I just was looking for some personal input as this is a bridge I have not crossed.

This girl is a super person but has a complex over her hair, I just want her to be as happy with herself as I am knowing her..

there are 3 kinds of hair removal -

manual shaving - contrary to popular belief, it will NOT make your hair grow back thicker

depilatories - ex -- nair, waxing. not permanent. hair will regrow and likewise, will not be thicker than before. can have complications - can get permanent redness in the area

laser - permanent. costly, but effective.

Sorry, had to show off my new dermatology skills, just passed the class in PA school :haveabeer:

I get my back waxed twice a year. The ladies in the salon gather 'round for the show.

For permanent removal I'd recommend laser. Not cheap though.

Johnny,,,

I am sure it is very entertaining, especially from a female perspective.. LOL

Sounds like Laser is the answer...

Money is not the issue, if it will help her feel better about herself, that is all that matters...
