Today is your day. Oh, its 3am here and I just remembered. You are a miracle, keep the faith brudda! Our progress through the steps is the milestone by which our sobriety measured. God Bless my friend, many more twenty fours. Bob :supercool::supercool::banana::banana::banana:

Congrats Eddie! You should be very proud. :supercool:

I dont mean to sound self serving. But 25yrs a qaurter of a century. I really feel good and proud at this time. For some reason more proud than any other years.

I was a very heavy drug and alchohol user, for 18 yrs. I was high everyday on something. I was addicted to, almost everything I ever tried. I just changed one for the other.

The last 4 four years of my usage. Was sooo extreme. Every day was meth or blow and weed and beer. I slept very little. Acted out and did alot, Im not proud of. I was on a trip to die.

I was very blessed that my job allowed me to clean up. Then work until retirement. As a proccess control instument tech. I could have and probably did screw alot of controls up.

Thanks guys', for remembering. Im honored!!!!!!! One day at a time and God has been good to me...:driving::supercool:

Eddie,

You deserve the credit. It takes will power and determination to make those kinds of changes in your life. Your job was willing to take the risk that you could clean up, but you had to do it. You did the hard part and you should be commended for what you have accomplished.

As a fellow soldier, and a Texan, I thought it might be nice to meet you someday and have a beer and talk about the old days in the Army, but I guess if that happens it will have to be over a cup of coffee....which is fine with me since I really don't drink beer that often. :supercool:

Congratulations, Eddie. I've been sober for over ten years now. It's a great feeling, isn't it?

Good Job Eddie - When I first read the post I thought you had been married 24 years.

Just wondering were you a Congressman. :bwahaha::bwahaha::bwahaha:

Actualy, could call it my birthday. It has been 25yrs, of a new birth.

Lifes problems still exist. I have better coping skills now. It is a big plus, to be able to cope being sober. Most things get solved. Instead of drowning them.

Accepting the things I cant change. The courage and wisdom, to change the things I can.

If any of our members, need help, kicking their subtance abuse. You are welcome to email me. I will do the best I can as a email sponsor. It will always be totaly confidential.

Plus you wont recieve any finger pointing from me. Im no judge. God tells me all the time.

Love dont judge.......

Bob and Mark congrats on your recovery also. Life sometimes hurts. A sober life feels good.
