1 CDN Dollar for 1 US Dollar.... I guess thats one joke that will have to be taken out of the Canada bashing list....

Wow, what a time to be goin to Vegas. I leave in 3 week... wooo hooo....

Hmmm, I have about $50 CDN from vacation this summer as "souvenirs" Guess I can go cash it in for a nice profit :lol::lol:

I'm in Vegas on the 12th Also!

Crazy thing, I built an 08 ST on the ford US web page today for fun, it was $10G less than what I paid for mine.

Base in Canada starting at $32,900 - in the US $24,719.

What's stopping a person from Canada from driving across the border and purchasing in the US?

Doesn't spell good news for American based companys that have manufacturing sites in Canada. Whoosh went all the free profit. Some may end up bringing their manufacturing back to the good ole USA.

Some big reasons are financing is not available if you live on the other side of the border and 2, no warranty if you purchase in the states and then import to Canada. Same the other way around a few years ago when Americans were coming here to purchase diesel trucks.

Ebay ... Ebay... Ebay....

I dont even go to the shopping malls any more. I spend so much on Ebay... especially now that i got my ST.

I just bought an Auto Starter/Alarm for $143 USD and even delivered to Canada is $200 cheaper than buying it anywhere here. Im going to do all my Christmas shopping at Ebay.

Unfortunately its not because of how well Canada is doing economically but rather how poor the employment rate is in the US...etc

You still have warranty, you just have to go to the US to get it. If you bring a vehicle from the US, you have to get a safety inspection, install daytime running lights and convert the speedo from miles to kilometers before you can register it in Canada. I have heard that some auto makers have told their dealers in Washington State that they cannot sell cars to Canadians. Five years ago it was the opposite problem, people were taking cars to the US. When I leased my 2002 Expedition I had to sign an agreement with Ford that I would not sell the truck into the US in the first year. If I did I would have been black-listed, I was told Ford would never sell me a vehicle again.

I haven't seen the Canadian Dollar, but the exchange rate is killing me here in Poland. My rent has gone up from $1400 to almost $1800/month because of the weak dollar. It is almost $80 for me to fill my Mazda3 with gas as well. Gasoline is almost to $7.00/gal for me now.

You guys picked the wrong time to be in Vegas. The best time is October 29th-November 3rd for the SEMA show...LOL

Wife and I will be there!

Are you adopting for that weekend?
