I think it will still be the Nextel cup they signed on for???10 yrs I think. Sprint deal came after.

Yes, but NEXTEL doesn't technically exist anymore. Sprint is just keeping the name around during a transition period. I doubt it will take a decade before they drop the name entirely. :unsure:

Nextel does still exist, Merged and on same networkas Sprint. Still have Nextel stores and Sprint stores seperate. Pretty soon we'll be able to go to both stores and sign up for one or the other service. I really want a NASCAR phone.

Tony was rude to my wife a couple years ago when she nicely asked for an autograph. Therefore there is no love for Tony in my house. Rusty Wallace on the other hand, couldn't have been nicer. Her NASCAR ballcap autographed by Rusty is one of her most cherished possessions along with a photo of her with John Force. (tip for car guys: marry a race fan)

but alas, i remember years and years ago when rusty had his foot in his mouth just like tony used to... tony is somewhat better now, and i'm sure that one of the other 'god's gift to racing' drivers will step up to be the next 'whiny little man bitch ' guy... hee hee :lol:

you're right. I remember most of the stars being that way; Wallace, Rudd, Gordon, Jarrett, Stewart and even Earnhardt Sr. They, unlike Johnson, Newman and a few more simply grew up I think. Time will tell if JJ and Newman will come around. Took JJs half owner and mentor to get divorced before he woke up. But he's grown a bunch in the last three or four years.



Congrats to Tony. My guy didn't make the chase. Of those that did, I like Tony's driving style and say what he's thinking attitude the most.

STanner....true, but I don't know that Rusty was rude to fans or punched photographers. With him it was more about cracking on other drivers. Back in the day, DW had a mouth as well and a lot of drivers wanted to kill him.

I'm a Mark Martin fan anyway.
