The husband and I are heading to the keys early tomorrow morning. We are loading the kayaks on top of the ST and also pulling our medium-sized boat (14' Panga). If anyone sees us on the road, or down there, give a honk or a wave.

We'll be staying on Long Key, but commuting throughout the keys.

Everyone have a safe 4th!

Make a run to Key West. Lasik1, a member here, has his office there. When you get into Key West, make a right. On the left you will see his office. You can check out his Limo while you are there.

Tom,

We are going to make a good effort to head down that way. And I would love to check out that sweet limo. We'll see where it fits in the plans. On shorter (4-5 day) trips we usually don't head all the way down to Key West. The fishing seems more crowded there, and the night life doesn't really interest me. However, if weather doesn't cooperate, we'll probably go down there during the day.

I'll be in Ft. Myers next week. I'll wave from the beach.

What I'd really like to do is take that hydrofoil ferry from Ft. Myers Beach to the Keys. But then I'd have to explain to my kids why all those men are walking around holding hands.

Jenn- have a great trip! Feel free to stop in and say Hi if you are in Key West- my office is right next to Mcdonalds. I'll be happy to provide tips on dining and activities- even the best places to spot men holding hands......

Lasik - If we head down to KW we'll certainly stop in and say hi. As for spotting men holding hands, is there anywhere better than Crabby Dick's restaurant? Actually, I got food poisoning there a few years ago..... yuck.

Well, I'm signing off. Thanks for the well-wishes. Honk if you see me! And hopefully I'll have lots of great pictures to post when we get back!!

We are going to the Keys at the end of July for a little mini season lobster hunting. We are going to Lower Matecumbe, the next island up from long key.

Have a safe fun trip. There is nothing like the Keys for a get away!
