anyone kno the price of a new heatsheild or where to get material to create a heat sheild..

Metal or an exhaust shop, BUT you can remove them with no ill effects......



OR if yours is just loose, use a long worm gear hose clamp, or a couple put together to hold it on..

I got my OEM one from a local dealer.



F87Z-7F013-BA Shield $27.92



On the same receipt I had the following items:



W702909-S437 Stud $5.52 (qty.4)

N620040-S36 Nut 6x1.0 $8.30 (qty.5)



Never had to use these other parts except for one single nut.

thanks trac.... so im guessing only like 14 for the sheild... awesome... i kinda want one without the ford logo tho... ima wrap it in a carbon fiber pattern clothe and then reinstal it... hopefully it turns out good lol

After reading your Ford logo comment, I came to realize that you're talking about the under hood heatshield. Sorry...I was talking about the transmission heatshield. And for further clarification $27.92 is the price for the shield alone. The bolts and nuts are extra. Again, that's for the transmission heatshield. Sorry about the confusion.

might just redo the one i got... no sense in buying another... unless i can find a flat one with no logo...
