help, bed extender

bought a bed extender off ebay. great buy, great extender, ordered the pins from rusty. My sport trac does not have threads to put these into. or am I just crazy. are threads in the holes somewhere, do I thread the holes with a tap, or have I just gone without sleep to long. Thanks for all your help

You're not crazy. I don't have any experience in it but I've read posts indicating that you'll need to tap or drill holes to accomodate an extender. I recall something about self-tapping screws... Someone knowledgable should chime in soon, meanwhile a 'search' may be in order.

this helps me out. I am getting my extender tonight when I get to work, someone is giving it to me.

The screws are self tapping... you need a T50 and do it slowly to get them straight.
