I have a 2007 ST xlt v6 2wd and I am very interested in jacking it up anywhere from 2-5 inches. Can any of you recommend any quality lifts? On a budget but willing to safe. Also anyone have roof racks on your ST and if so what brand?

welcome to the site :welcome:... this is the only lift for the 2nd gen (link under picture)... unfortunately... thats why i went with the first gen when ill was looking to buy my trac

Check out this guys Gen2 ST. says he used a "Truxxx leveling kit". I know nothing about lifts for Gen2's. But, this is one bad@$$ looking truck! Probably some good insight in the thread as well.

The other possibility is that Rancho makes their Quicklift strut/spring assemblies to fit 06-10 Explorers. This would only get you about 1.5" of lift assuming they will actually fit the Sport Trac. Unless you add a body lift that is about the limit for our front suspension due to the upper control arm design and the rear suspension due to the fact that the IRS halfshafts pass through a window in the frame rails. Unfortunately, I have not been able to find out yet if they will fit a Sport Trac. Retailers' websites do not list them for ST's, only Explorers and Mountaineers. My guess is that there is something different about our rear suspension, either the upper spring mount or the slot in the frame rails or a higher rate spring or?

Sorry for the awful pic, I have a 2007 Limited ST with the truxx leveling kit and a roof rack. The leveling kit is nice, but you will need a tune to keep your tach and speedo working correctly. I got the rack from rackattack.com I just mounted lights on it, will take better pics tomorrow. [Broken External Image]:

Nice Trac!

I decided to try the Rancho Quicklift strut/spring assemblies rather than the bare KYB struts. I found someone on seriousexplorations.com who put them on his '08 so I know they will fit. The Ranchos came yesterday. The Ranchos are obviously a more expensive way to go but at least I won't have to mess with a spring compressor and I should be gaining a slight lift that will help with my 265/65/18 BFG's. The Ranchos also have adjustable damping whereas the KYB's do not.
