I am having an issue with intermittent hesitation above 1500 RPM. I have replaced the main culprits and haven't fixed the issue. Maybe someone can offer some assistance.

I have replaced:

1. O2 Sensor

2. Throttle Position Sensor

3. Distributor

4. Ignition module/TFI

5. High pressure Fuel Pump

6. Fuel Filter

7. Fuel Pressure Regulator

8. Distributor cap and rotor

9. Plug Wires

10. Computer module in passenger kickpanel

11. exhaust with glasspacks

12. catalytic converter

13. Spout connector was removed and base timimg set at 12 degrees. Manual recommends 10 degrees.

14. PCV Valve

Sounds like you need to keep replacing parts until you find the problem.

If that doesn't work, you might want to take it to a trained, qualified Ford technician for proper diagnosis and repair.

We can't see it from here.

For the age of the truck I would replace all of the vaccum hoses. Maybe take a look at the egr valve..

edit: I dont know if the '88 is carburated. If so, it could be the power valve in the carb.

No egr valve..thats strange. If you know what one looks like, I would look for it. Maybe the manuals dont cover it.

I have a code reader that would read that year ford, but I live in Texas..
