Hi all,

I did the conversion in my wife's 05 some time ago and have been waiting on a few other parts to finish it up. Well, now I have all of the parts to finish and I have a question about the wiring. I have the actual wiring harness for the console and I am wondering if there is somewhere in the dash that I will be plugging the harness into????

This is where the wiring chart is here. Just do a search with me (HO) as the author. That is how I found it but I don't know how to scan it and send it to you.

I did a search on your name but I couldn't find any wiring diagrams for the high-series floor console. All I could find was for the overhead console. Am I missing something??

Thanks

I just pulled the console back a little and I don't see a wiring harness anywhere. I am not as concerned with the radio controls as much as I am getting the rear A/C fan to work. Any suggestions?

Dan,

I don't know if this will answer your question or not.

When I pulled my console out, I had to unplug two wiring harness connectors (a gray one and a black one) from two separate wiring harnesses hanging down from behind the dash.

The only pictures I've got show the connectors which are attached to a metal tab on the front end of the console. You can see them in both of these pics from different angles, with the upper section cut away.

Hope this helps.

Eric,

Thanks for the info and pictures. I just finished surfing the net and found out the SportTracs that came with the high-series console have a different wiring harness in the dash that those two plugs connect to. So, for the lighter and rear fan, I just ran a wire to a hot all the time wire, a hot when the key is on wire, and a ground wire. I also found this info in the projects section after the fact. Thanks for everyone's help..

P.S. - Anyone figure out how to connect the rear radio controls yet??

as far as I know the rear radio controls plug directly into the radio, I have been researching this as I have to get a new radio.
