I was really hoping Ford would step up to the plate and offer the 2.7L EcoBoost in the Ranger. A 4x4 crew cab with that engine would have been the perfect replacement for my Sport Trac. I will probably give it a test drive about this time next year and then start looking for a leftover '18 F-150 with either the 2.7L EB or the 5.0L. That's obviously what Ford wants us to do anyway.
Bottom line is I'm just an old fart that doesn't want a truck that sounds like one.
