Has anybody ever thought of chopping the upper rear roof part of an older Explorer (i.e., 1991 generation) to create an older Sport Trac model then the 2001??



Maybe its just me, but I think that would look pretty "badass."

A few people over on Explorerforum.com have done it. Search around and you can probably find some pics over there. Its kind of neat looking. I think the Trac would be fun to take the doors off of, like a Jeep. With a sunroof and the ability to open the rear window it would be really open feeling. Maybe in a few years when its time to replace it I'll do it....

Heres a link I found at Explorerforum.com from someone who has come pretty close to getting it right. I'd most likely do a few things differently than this guy, but hes on the right track (or should I say trac )
