I-5 Sites

Starting to get close to our move date so I'm planning stops and what not along our route. We're driving from Oak Harbor, WA to Oxnard, CA taking I-5 all the way. When we moved up here from San Diego, we took the PCH for a good chunk of it, saw the Golden Gate, and some of the Red Woods.

Anything we should do our best to stop to see? The only thing planned so far is a dinner at Tex Wasabi's (Guy Fieri's restaurant - my favorite chef on food network).

Made that trip a 100 times, to be honest, not alot to see on I 5.

Agree with Bill on this one, some stretches along I-5 would be a good time to let one of the twins drive! lol ... but if you have time for a side trip...the giant redwoods is a cool place to see. Haven't been there since I was a kid, but remember it was an awsome visit. As for the location, all I remember is Northern Calif...

Just south of Grapevine, I understand has grown. Maybe (if still there) 6 Flags is right around that area?

Again, it was great getting to visit with you and the family last year, I hope the transition goes very well!

Perhaps Shasta Dam or the Sundial Bridge in Redding is worth while. Tex Wasabi's is less than 1/2 mile from my place. I would really enjoy meeting you there.:haveabeer:
