Today when taking off the factory tonneau cover by myself I managed to break off thing in picture . It is rivited on. It was ripped off when it slipped off side. Rubber backing ripped so I need new one. Plus rivits.

So can I order it? What is it...name wise? Is ther a part number?

I just looked at mine and I can not find that on it, unless you shrunk it down? could you use some washers and rerivet it on maybe? just a thought?

It's the (new style 2002 and later) tonneau cover hinge end seal. It seals the gap at the end of the hinge to the outer edge of the tonneau cover between the cover halves.

Rusty at Spartan Lincoln/Mercury is probably your best bet.

Probably will not be able to get it from Ford as it is an "Integral" part of the cover.

I would make a tiny plate fit into the slot with two holes drilled and re-rivet it. It will be stronger than original. Two washer will work as well but they may over-lap each other and not hold the seal nice and flush.

Thanks. Unfortunately your answers were what I expected. Hopefully I can fix it with the washers....or the plate that is already there.
