I Got SODOM-IZED!

On the way home Saturday, we had to fill up in Sodom NY for 4.00$ a gallon. Then while on the road, the gas was CRAP! We went from getting 29.8 mpg down to 24.1 mpg..... Filled up again in Va and mpg went back up..... At least we only paid $1.10 in tolls coming home..... (Mass Pike)

To fuel up in Sodom, NY, do you have to be driving one of those old cars with the fuel fill pipe in the back, under the license plate?

You got the 10% ethanol gas we have here in NY year-round... yep... :soap:

That about the same " MPG improvement" that our legislated 10% ethanol gives us.

We still burn the same amount of gas but have to pay for the added volume giving our government more tax money and the oil company also makes more on added volume.

OK, having never heard of Sodom, NY, I had to go to Google Maps and look it up, simply to satisfy my curiousity.



And I found something quite disturbing.



It appears that Sodom is small enough to only have two roads, which cross each other.



"Sodom Crossroad". And...



"Peaceful Valley Road".



No, I'm not kidding.



I'm sorry, but that's messed up. After all, once Peaceful Valley intersects with Sodom, isn't the Valley no longer Peaceful?
