I love this time of the year!

Baseball is getting into full swing.



NFL is getting started.



NCAA football just on the horizon.



NO basketball!



Hunting season is coming soon.



The lake is as refreshing as it will ever be.



I'm loving it!

That's more of a curse than a blessing.



Youth sports start up.

Traffic gets heavier.

Have to deal with buses screwing up traffic.

Baseball...yawn. Plus my local team is B'more, so yeah.

NFL...yawn. The only sport where the commercial breaks are longer than the action.

NCAA...yawn. More college athlete drama.



Most importantly, that means that any good tv shows will get preempted by sports.



The best thing about this time of year is the temperature & humidity starts to drop.

With the kids jingle belling

And everyone telling you "Be of good cheer"

Most importantly, that means that any good tv shows will get preempted by sports.

I only have a tv for sports and occasionally the news. There are no good tv shows, imo.

Atlanta is a baseball town. Baseball was my youth. I still umpire.

Steelers are going for their 7th championship! Falcons have a shot at being above average.

UGA alum, gotta follow my team. Saturdays in Athens are second to none. (Side note: UGA ranked #1 party school in the nation). You don't know tailgating until you visit Georgia.

Gotta wait for late September, early October for that in Georgia.

There are no good tv shows, imo.

...yeah, they're all long canceled. But maybe there'll be a good one sometime.



Maybe I'm old-fashioned, but TV news annoys me. They tell me this great, earth-shaking news piece...but won't give me details until after the next commercial. Then they only give me a 10 second blurb on the news, which leaves me hanging.

(Yeah, I still read the paper. It's informative. It's soothing...like fishing, only you don't have to put it back where you got it....or be over 62 or under 16 to use it)

I find watching sports to be incredibly boring. Never understood the attraction.
