So i have been looking for new rims and tires for my ST and when i was at the shop they were explaining to me that our offest for the ST is messed up. And that we need a Mid to High offset for rims on your truck (Not "low" offset like on most trucks/suv's). Now, what if i get normal low offset rims (what would happen) also, aren't high offset rims for cars and such? Am I supposed to find passenger car rims That I might like for me ST. I hope not, Im looking for an aggressive looking rim to go with the 33" ties I plan on putting on.

so far my favorite are: Helo max 6 and MotoMetal 951

The ST does use an unsually high offset stock wheel for a truck/SUV compared to other models.

If you were to get a lower offset wheel, the wheel wouldn'tcome out to the edge of the vehicle, and with the size tire you want to run, that'll run the risk of alot of tire rub on turns. This can be fixed through the use of wheel spacers, although using a wheel with a proper offset to begin with is the ideal method.

There is a good selection of truck wheels that'll fit the ST, you aren't limited to car wheels with flush faces. For one, that wouldn't look good, and secondly, the load/weight rating of the wheel may not be enough.

Where might i find this selection, also i was told spacers arent a good idea. Now for normal everyday driving to i really run a concer... and wher can I get the spacers

Somewhere like 1010tres.com is a good place to do wheel searching. Can't say anythign about ordering wheels from them, as I've no experience with them. But you can find what you like, and shop elsewhere if you feel that's better for you. There are a few other palces online that offer a large wheels database. Fitment isn't guarenteed, but they will actually bolt onto the vehicle...how usable they are is something else.

Big D, There really is no problem with Billet Aluminum spacers and hole centric lug nuts for on road use. I've been using them for several years on the Trac with absolutely no problems.

As far as spacers go, I was a skeptic, Till i got mine... 1.25 inch spacers. Once installed properly, You will learn to like them a lot. It is the installation that is tricky. With the way I drive, If I haven't lost a rim yet, I don't think any one will..

I know Jeff C has even gone to the track with his spacers with no issues..

ProComp will build their steel wheels with any (structurally safe) backspace you want. Of course, you have to like one of their styles.
