i was rear ended today. I dont have a st but i used to have a beloved black st. I now have a 2003 f150 supercrew. I am writing because it does not seem that i have any damage but i was wondering if yall have any things i should check. I was in traffic stopped and boom. the guy behind me hit me goin about 15 he says. I have a hitch and i have a warn shackle attached to it so he hit that it appears and did not hit my bumper should what should i be checking. It was a E 250 that hit me. If you need more info ask. I am not to great at explaing things.

Chris, Look at the line along the body and the bumper, make sure it is straight on both sides and even..... A hitch is a wounderfull thing, IT saved my rear..LOL

Also, check the hitch to see if it was bent or knocked out of alignment. In general, when two vehicles hit at anything over about 3 mph, something, somewhere bends.

I just got back from my body shop and he said looks to be no damage. looks like the hitch accesorie saved me.

there are shocks in the front and rear bumper, if they are compressed, they need to be replaced, as they are only good for a 1 time hit.

cantex,

I am pretty sure the rear bumper does not have shocks in them. I have removed the bumper to install the hitch and I have not seen a shock. I would lean towards that the F-150 doesn't either.

Years ago, I know there were shocks in the pumpers, but manufacturers have been slowly eliminating them.
