maybe I'm just overly sensitive about how my trac runs at idle... but I think i clean the darn IAC every 6 months... which seems like an awful lot just to have her running crisply at idle.... just complaining... lol it's saturday morning....

Maybe your pulling in too much crankcase vapor blow by and gumming it up. Is the passageway for the IAC inlet very dirty also.?

93,000 miles and I have NEVER cleaned my IAC valve. Never. Not once, not pulled it off to see if it is clean, but never.



I have never removed it. It idles perfect, get over 20 MPG and pulls plenty of weight. Couldn;t ask for a better vehicle.
