The inner rib on my front, passenger side tire is bald. What needs to be repaired or replaced? I may not have access to tools for a big job, so how much might this cause at the dealership?

If the wear is even all around the center rib of the tire then the air pressure may be way too high in that tire. It is not an alignment or ball joint problem unless the wear is not uniform along that inner rib of tread.

Thanks for the replies. It's the innermost rib on the front passenger side and the baldness is uniform all around. I replaced the tie rod ends not too long ago with Moog parts and when I replaced my rotors the hub looked well and good. I remember no play on the hub too.

Check all parts and have an alignment done and you may need a camber kit installed....

Dont let the shop tell you the alignment is in specs.... IT can be adjusted..

Trac_511,

My error. What was I thinking!! :banghead: When you said inner-rib, I was thinking Center-rib duh! :toilet:

Over inflated tires wear in the center and under inflated tires wear on the outer edges.

Yes, it appears that you do have an algnment problem (probably Camber)

Sorry for my confusion:cry:
