Is it like this anywhere else? Here in the Akron, OH area the price of gas changes on a weekly, if not daily, basis. I made a trip to PA last weekend and before I left I checked gas prices in the Akron area knowing that the price in PA is usually quite a bit higher due to higher taxes. Prices in west central PA last weekend were in the $2.89 range. Anyway, I found a station on the East side of Akron that was at $2.41 so I filled up there on Friday morning. When I came back on Sunday afternoon I was down to about 1/4 tank as I was nearing that exit so I thought I might as well take advantage of the lower price again. Wrong. On Sunday evening the price at the same station I had just used on Friday morning at $2.41 was now at $2.79! That's a 38 cents/gal increase in two days. WTF? Most other stations were also at $2.79. Today, a week later, prices range anywhere from $2.49 to $2.69 in the Akron area. The same station that was at $2.79 seven days ago is now at $2.59. Crazy.:banghead:
