Installing a new stereo

I want to install a new stereo in my 07 ST, but have a few questions.



1) how do I remove the stock 6-disc one? I thought maybe it had the holes for those u-shiped pin things, but it didnt :wacko:



2) the stereo im going to get is sat. radio rready. Will i need to buy a new sirius tuner to continue my service, or will the one in the ST still work?



3) has anyone done this yet? If so, how hard is it?

You will need a new Sirius Tuner box to go with your aftermarket HU. Check crutchfield.com for install instructons. I have talked with them about the '07 questioning about a double din install kit. None is available yet, and there isn't one for the '06 explorer either. Single din soun't be a problem. I know if you buy an install kit from Crutchfield, they send a vehicle specific book showing you exactly what needs to be removed and in what order. Pretty good deal I think. Thier install kits run about 15 bucks last time I needed one and include the mounting brackets and all.
