I also believe all models are "stretched" Explorers. In the case of the 2007-2010 models, the chassis was lengthened 17.5" resulting in a bit more cab space. Its evident if you look at the back doors of both vehicles, you'll see the Explorer has a wheelwell cutout in the door whereas the Trac has a full size door! My V8 normally gets about 15-16mpg around town. Maybe 20-21 on long highway trips. I think the V6 is pretty close to that. Don't expect stellar mileage from these vehicles as they are nothing more than a 5000lb brick going down the road.(not aerodynamic) Happy hunting,  Bob</p></blockquote><p></p>
