It just fell out!!!

Good day I know that you all have the knowledge I need to figure this mystery out.

this weekend I was working now on replacing the blower motor in my 2005 Ford explorer sport Trac 4.0 L, Gas motor, 112,400 miles on her. As I was completing the installation I hear what sounds like a tin spring hitting the ground underneath the truck. I investigated sure enough this peace have fallen out from the motor area near the firewall. I’m guessing it fell from the center/ passenger side of the truck, not sure at all. I just bought the truck two weeks ago and I want to keep her running as best as possible. The spring/clip is pretty clean, Free of oil and other debris…

That's off the AC line in that area, it clips over the quick connect to hold it as a precaution... looks like the one for the canister by the fire wall or the one just above the wheel.

THANK YOU !!! is there another one up there close? (i'll have to start looking for the A/C lines and connectios this weekend
or is it a lost cause to try and replace it?

If you google 2003 sport trac engine pics you will see the clamp on top of the Ac can, may be able to see others... Just re use it...

Yep just re-use it. Slide it back over the AC Freon Line Joint.
A Cable\ZipTie will secure it so not to fall off so easily.
