It is that time of my life again. Tomorrow I am going to test drive as many vehicles as I can. By the end of March I hope to be in something brand new. The 07 trac is on my list but not #1. I will definately test drive it and look it over to make a final decision. I am also going to drive a few different subaru's. I will also go over to Nissan and Toyota and test drive the Murano and Titan. I am not sure if I want a pure pick-up truck or a pure SUV. I am really undecided. I just know that I have my ST three years next week and is time for a change in the vehicle department before the Trac really starts to take a dive in what it is worth.

I thought about getting rid of the ST too. However, it's paid for and I don't want a car payment. It's been fairly trouble free vehicle other than the DPSE sensor being replaced and the brakes done at 15K all under warranty. To replacement it would be just too expensive they way new cars are priced.

Good luck with your search as you have some great vehicles on your list.

Let us know how it goes. I'm looking as well. Probably not as near of a timeframe, but the looking, driving and researching has begun. Although, could get something soon if it's not an ST. Definitely will wait for rear window and any other changes put in place with job 2 if I decide to go with the '07 ST. I really love the utility of my ST, just like having newer, low milage, cars. Considering the 4 Runner, ST, Pathfinder, Ridgeline, etc. Probably want something with a truck-like bed, but three rows of seats would come in handy on occasion.

I test drove a pathfinder when I ended up getting the ST and the Pathfinder seemed very poorly made at the time. Very "tin" like. I will check it out again though. I do like the 4 Runner but 3 or 4 people at work have them and I want something that stands out, lol Thus the yellow ST :D:cool:

I'm not ready to get rid of the ST yet but I am looking to replace my wife's 97 Expedition in the next few weeks. Can't get anything to small because she needs the room to haul around all her work stuff but definitely don't need anything as big as the Expe. Got it narrowed down to the Murano, Pilot, or Highlander.

The Murano caught my eye back when I got the ST. They were pretty much a brand new concept with the type of tranny they have. SoI drove it, sat down with the salesmen and crunched some numbers......we started at a way too high number and got down to very high. Started at 650 a month!!! Got down to about 600 a month....sorry OUT of my price range at the time....well and even now it is. They have come down in price since then so I will definately check them out again.

it is also kind of cool mylast name is almost the same, lol Marano...Murano...lol

I will have to take a silver sharpie and fix the U, lol:D

I used to get the 3yr itch, when I was younger. I like saving money nowdays. Its cheaper to repair them, than give the banks all that intrest...:)

Frank,

Consider the new Avalanche? Call me nuts (which many will here), but I like the redesigned look. I am not sure if it is because the original was so ugly, or if the new design is that good. However, I am curious on how "refined" the interior is.

By the way - McNamara is Scranton's child, not Wilkes-Barre's. We don't give a damn about MacNamara's final game. :)

The Avalance is a good bet. Better looking and more practical then any of the Nissan's out there.

Be prepared for horrible gas mileage.

Tom

I'm not a big fan of Chevy really but it won't hurt to takea ride through their lot to check it out.

Tom, the Murano's gas milage cant be any worse then the ST.

lol@Adam about McNamara.... We love the kid here in the 'Cuse!!!!!!

I was refering to the Avalanche gas mileage.

Being seen driving a Murano is enough punishment without adding high cas costs in the mix. My family does not call them Moron-o's for nothing. LOL

Tom

Yeah, I think the Murano is sharp looking also. I'm wondering about the CVT transmission though and if it's going to have any problems later on.

to be honest I am a 3 yr and trade in type of person. So I usually stay in warranty. With the ST, I thought I would keep it longer but it is time for a change......

i'm not married, no kids. I work my rear end off for what I want. I get paid well for what I do and I work for one of the best companies in the world. I know the marraige and kids thing will change one day so I treat myself to it now while I can, lol:blink::lol:
