Does anybody know why we play a song that has nothing to do with the United States during our birthday of independence? I just looked up the 1812 Overture? It was written by Tchaikovsky to commemorate the unsuccessful French invasion into Russia during the Napoleonic Wars. Don't get me wrong it sounds great but shouldn't we have something more American? It does fit with the fireworks. What we need is a composer to come up with a piece that not only fits with fireworks displays, but will be originally long and can be cut to fit the timing of the fireworks. A piece that is pure American. Just an idea. If you agree feel free to send it on. I think it would honor our troops that have fought for our Freedom and are continuing to do so. And with that I say to those on here that have served our country and are doing so now, Great Job and Thank You!

Sorry I sent it before I finished. Here is the done 1.
