i changed my pads today and after the brakes were done (which by the way are the easiest brakes i have ever done) i took the truck for a test drive backed out of the drive and i heard a big grinding noise. pulled back in drive looked through my after market rims and the brake calliper was rubbing on the inside of the rim!

when i put the rims on the pads were half way throug there life and they fit with no rubbing. also i have 1" spacers on the truck. so just a heads up when you buy new rims change your pads or allow for the difference the pad will make when they are new....just a heads up.

Good point.

Where did you get your wheels from? Or did you just see a set you liked, bought them, and made them fit?

In an ideal world, we'd measure our vehicles to get the clearances before shopping for wheels, and in an ideal world wheel makers would include such vital info as caliper height clearance as well as backspacing and offset. On street vehicles, doesn't make that big of a deal, but in the race world, you can't run spacers and you could be out alot of money...
