Just got my hood scoop in! What color?

I got the scoop in! It came the same color as my truck (white). I was thinking of painting it black on my white ST. What do you think? Should I leave it white or paint it black?:huh:

I think white would look good especially if you have the grey rocker panels.

I think if you paint it black it will look like just a "ricey" add-on. Keeping it the same color as the truck looks like it was meant to be on there.

No it is not functional. I got it cause there is a dent on the hood from shooting fireworks and I figured this would cover up the dent.

dont they have that temporary paint for cars? I would see if that is available and paint it and place on the hood...see what if YOU like it. Or maybe try using some dark tinting film just to get an idea. Decal shops have that film to go over windows for pics, they should have a sheet large enough of all black to place over a scoop...



Just some ideas before you go ahead and do it.

I also agree by keeping the hood scoop white it looks like it was ment to be there.

Also if you want contrast you can always pin stripe or find hood striping to fit the look you want. Just a thought.

You could mock one up out of cardboard and paint it black to get an idea.

However I would concur with the majority and go white.
