k&n intake

I bought a k&N intake that doesn't exactly fit. I have a 01' job 1 and the intake is for a job 2. The problem I have is where it fits the throttle body. My throttle body is smaller than the k&n hose. I have tried but failed to seal this area up. Can I swap my throttle body for a job 2 throttle body and everything work?

I don't believe so because as I remember some members wanted to bore out the metal throttlebody that your job 1 uses and use it for a performance mod for the plastic throttle body on a job 2 but as I remember this is not possible. So I assume from that logically the reverse would also not work.

Nope, unfortunately

Aluminum and Plastic throttle bodies are not interchangeable.

You must stay with the same type that you currently have on your vehicle.

Just buy a $9.00 3x3 black adaptor at pepboys...

The Job 2 uses a 3.5 x 3...
