Keyless entry on a 04 xlt

Hey I found the keyless entry code on a 04 xlt is alot easier to get to by taking the two bolts out for the passenger air bag then the yellow box you see to the left in that opening has two more bolts on it and it has the code right on top of it . I know you all say you can see it by taking off the defrost panel but i played hell tryin to see it from there. and the air bag is perfectly safe you dont un hook any wiring . but still be safe and cautious when doing anything around an airbag!

:smacklease do not recommend removing/disturbing ANY part of the SRS system without first depowering the system. That's simple as disconnecting the battery for 5 minutes or so before doing the work. You didn't say if you depowered it or not.



That air bag can kill you if it deploys and it/occupant are not in the intended positions ! !:soap:

+1 on that! I'm a firefighter and know well of the dangers... take a look at this clip, you'll be surprised. Airbag accidentally deployed while in the middle of a extrication.

another way is to look thru the winshield. With a flashlight aimed thru the defrost vent. Most are readable, from the '03 to '05 model.
