I've been looking for a way to ship the nerf bars but I can't find any cost efficient ways of doing it. If you have any suggestions please let me know.

Have you tried contacting DHL? I usually use FedEx Ground services and I think they quoted my about $50 from San Diego to the east coast, but DHL is usally the cheapest of all of the major shipping companies.
