I posted a few videos on youtube of the wildlife in my orchard this summer. These are of some of the bigger bucks and the last one is a flock of young wild turkeys.

Sept 30th is the first day of archery deer season in PA. Still have a couple a tree stands to set up.
 
For some reason I thought you lived in OH. Won't be long now then! I will be crossing my fingers for you! I have been doing quite a bit of shooting lately. I recently joined a range, I have been enjoying it.

I used to live in OH but retired and moved back home to PA about a year and a half ago. Those videos are from my property in PA.
 
Archery season starts tomorrow and I saw one of the nicer bucks in the woods beside the house this evening. At least I know he is still in the area. Also had a doe and three yearlings in the back yard this afternoon. We had a rain shower this evening when a cold front moved through. Must have been why they were moving so early. Supposed to be in the high 30's tomorrow morning which is also a good thing for deer movement...
 
Yeah, I got the same eight point I saw the night before the season started. I saw him almost every day during the first week and finally moved a stand mid-day on Oct 6th and killed him from that stand the same evening. Here is a video I got on a trail camera in my orchard that morning. I was actually in a tree stand in the background but well out of bow range when that video was taken. I placed another stand in a maple tree in front of a hemlock just above the orchard and he walked right to it a few hours later. He was standing in a fresh scrape when I shot him.

That's a really good buck! Congrats! I, sadly, haven't been out yet. First time will be this weekend, I have a bunch of days in November planned. So fingers crossed!
