Leaking Tranny Fluid...

Hey all, I started up the ST the other day cause shes sitting in the garage waiting for some nicer weather... I noticed that when I started it some Reddish fluid im assuming is tranny fluid had leaked out at the front end, under where the radiator would be...



Is this where the tranny cooler is? Could this have sprung a leak somehow?

Yes the tranny cooler is there,,,,



There are rubber hoses and clamps and stuff like that...



Also it could have been the P/S fluid also....



Remove the splash shield and look for the leak..



Since the truck is sitting the wind is not blowing the oil around..

The Sport Trac uses tranny fluid as Power Steering fluid. They will both act and look the same.
