So I want to lift my 01 sport trac but I need a site or location to order my parts to get that done , a 4x4 shop couldn't help me by they said to not get spacer lifters since that would make the truck easier to topple over. Not looking to for an EXTREME lift , but if I can find the parts or lift kit then the rest is easy , any ideas?

Is it 2 or 4wd?

Most will tell you to get shackles from eBay or another company. You can raise the front end by cranking the torsion bars up.

If it's an 01 the body mounts are already shot so a small 3" body lift might do well for you. If you do have 4wd and deep pockets super lift a local to me company makes a full bolt on kit that goes up to 4".

Perfect I'll look them up, it's 4wd. Just got a new exhaust, k&n intake cold air, and ordered the headers just recently, and now that I'm set for my engine I'm wanting to get the 4x4 aspect of it, and the lift is the first thing I wanna do before I get the tail lights and skid plate ,.. Etc... Where is super lift located ? And or website. I have deep enough pockets ,

Just found the super lift site! So awesome! 4" in perfect and the price is good , yah a little spendy but they do supply everything ,that's what a lot of 4x4 stores have over here, they want to add different parts from ford rangers to lift the truck and I don't like that. Thanks for the help!

When you were talking about the 3in lift and body mounts , where would I find that stuff at? New to the 4x4 "scene" , are body mounts ok to do ?

Logo for body lift. I'm not sure how many the sport trac has but they are the mounts between the body and the frame. The better ones are polyurethane and increase the size in height from stick to about three inches giving you more clearance for larger tires.

Here's my thread on body mount replacement.

The shop you visited obviously knows nothing about a Sport Trac or even looked at your truck if they even mentioned spacers. Don't go back there for any reason; they don't deserve your money.

My truck is on 35s with a body lift, slight torsion twist and an add a leaf.

Are you going for looking good at the mall or functional off the pavement? Don't say both because you won't have it both ways.

Not true. Poly body mount replacements are stock height. Please research BEFORE posting misleading info. :argue:

Yeah, that's not right at all. I didn't even catch that because I just skimmed. Please see the thread I linked.

Sorry about that, posting from my phone had a tendency to miss match words. I also didn't proof read it before posting.

On a side note Hugh where did you get those cross bars for your roof rack?

I responded by email but just for everyone else, I got the cross bars from Amazon for around $75. No name brand. I would not recommend them.

Well, I think my setup listed above works quite well for off road; at least what I've asked of it anyway. I need lower gearing but the 4.10s work fine on road. Lockers would be nice, too but I don't intend to keep these axles and I haven't been on a trail ride in over a year and may only get out once this year if I'm lucky.

The other option is Superlift for 4". I don't want to sway you one way or another one this option. Do your research. Chad551 and John Rock have both used them pretty extensively off road with different results.

You could also do a solid axle swap with a Dana 30. Not the strongest axle but you could avoid a massive lift and it'd be at least as strong as stock but have better flex. Much more work but you said money's no option, right?
