I was thinking about getting some SilverStars for my ST. The part number is 9007 ST/2. Do I have to get any kind of upgrade kit for these lights? Are these lights white or the same ol' dull yellow like my stock lights?

No upgrade kit needed. They are not yellow. I suggest the silverstar ultras.

Are they white? I can't find the ultras anywhere around here.

They are new. Yes they are white and they look cool in a Trac at night. Do you have a Pep Boys? They are running a good deal right now. I was going to get a set this weekend. You can research them online.

I would get the ultras. 2001-2005 I believe take the 9007. For the 2007 Trac don't know what number?

I know I don't touch the lights with my actual hands, but do I need to wrap anything special around them while installing them?

I ordered some reg silverstars yesterday off ebay. paid $17.50 shipped. was looking a walmart and they were $34.

I used a pair of rubber gloves before I installed mine, you can buy them at any harware or Auto store That way your sure not to touch the bulb with out losing the touch.

$10 REBATE? Are the ultras better than the regulars? Do they last longer? Brighter?

The Ultras are better than the regulars because they are brighter. Most people recommend the Ultras. Not sure whether they last any longer, I doubt it.
