I got a putnam hitch off ebay for $89.95 + $35 shipping. Received the hitch in a weeks time through UPS. Installed it myself, it was a pain but I got it done. I'm pleased thus far but others say that this hitch rusts easily. Sellers ebay id is bestlesstruck who I got mine from. Based in Phoenix.

I need one too. I was looking at the tubular Class III Hidden Hitch (#70670), and noticed that the one they sell at Uhaul appears to be the same model, just labeled Uhaul instead. I suspect all the hitches at Uhaul are Hidden Hitch or Draw-Tite (which are now made by the same company). I'll probably have Uhaul install one in the spring when I'll need to tow again. I suspect that these aftermarket hitches are stronger than Ford OEM, and the ratings indicate they are also.

I'm surprised anyone would purchase a hitch from U-Haul since they will not rent you a trailer!!!

I posted a want to buy on the Swap and Sell forum and a member replied with the information below. I called and ordered the hitch and received the order in just a few days. The hitch was a perfect fit and quality craftmanship throughout.

The Ford hitch is rated for 5000/500 weight bearing and 6000/600 Weight Distribution.

IMO, the Ford hitch is the best looking. Though more expensive, IMO, worth every penny.
