I have all the part numbers as I removed my screen from my laptop. But every where I look I am finding it to be VERY expensive compared to the others.

If anyone has any good ideas I'd appreciate it.

Thanks..

Toshiba Satellite A15 - S1692

39W03386A (Sharp Built Screen).

LQ150X1LHC3B (This is the actual part number I need).

G33C0000Q310

And on the board itself,

K3133TP 013918M

Toshiba Satellite A15 - S1692

Computer Part Number is PSA-10U-24FQRV

Serial Number of Computer is, X3032236H

Now that I have the part number I have found it on ebay for 269 as well. Before that, the very best I could find it by description was 399.00

I can handle the 269 much better...

But I'll wait a few days to see if something better comes up...

There was one listed on eBay for a Toshiba Sat A15 for around $229, and another for $50 (but that one had a major defect of a horizontal line through the center). Those ones MIGHT fit.

Also, look for someone who has the same Satellite that is DOA (bad power supply or mobo usually) on eBay and see what that goes for.

It seems around $250 is your price point.

Coastie, I don't know what your situation is with the bad screen but I also had a screen go bad. First it turned reddish for a couple weeks then went completely dark. I found a guy that repaired it for me by replacing what looked like a small fluorescent light bulb in the screen itself. This cost me $60.00. I watched him do it and I could easily do it myself now. A little tricky but well worth the effort as opposed to paying for an entire new screen. Of course if you broke yours in half or something then this isn't going to help you out much. LOL

I have this computer. The monitor works perfect, but the CPU overheats. It was my daughter's computer and she peeled the product label off so I don't know which model it is. She has a new one so it is just collecting dust right now.

Nelson, my computer looks like your as best I can tell.

How much would you sell it to me for?

Measure it diagonally. They make a 14.1 and a 15inch. I need the 15 inch.

My screen works perfect, it just has a blemished area on it where something rubbed on it.

Let me know please....

Now that I am home and seeing this on a larger screen, (was on my PDA) I would say it is the correct screen as long as it measures 15 inches diagonally.

I'll dust it off for you... LOL

Shoot me a price please.

Please email as I will be away for most of the day tomorrow.

Thanks..

I've had toshiba laptops for 6 years.. (Went through 2 so far) Toshiba series laptops kick ass when it comes to the cutting edge of latest and greatest technology, but suck when it comes to the reliablity of the parts and the design of the actual comptuer. Both satelite comptuers that I've owned have had MULTIPLE recalls for virtualy the same reasons. Overheating, and the CDROM/DVD ROM drive motor wears out.

After taking the laptop in for the recall.. I couldn't belive what the tec did!! He just sprayed out the inside of the ENTIRE laptop with a can of air!!

SOLUTION If your laptop is over heating, get a can of air, take the covers off the comptuer keyboard and back end of the comptuer that is over the main boards and spray the $h!t otta it!! Trust me, you'll see a WHOLE BUNCH of gunk and dirt just FLY right out of it!!! That will get rid of the overheating problem. Make sure that you spray out the fans as well because that's where a majority of the dust and dirt travels through.

Nelson, what year was the comptuer made? I think I can help you find out what model it is. Was the entire BOTTOM label taken off that had the part # of the computer?

~Josh

Nelson,

Not a problem that the bottom sticker is missing. Fire up the comptuer, and find out the specs on the computer. Then let me know and I can tell you from there.

Dunno how computer smart you are, so go to "View system information" under "My comptuer" and you'll have the specs at the bottom of there. Let me know what size harddrive you have as well. I know for a FACT that you have either an A10 or A15 series Satelite computer, but dunno what exact model from there.

Nelson, your mail did not get to me for some reason.

Please resend if you will. Here is a second address just in case.

Thanks...

Coastie,

The laptop is on the way. It is supposed to be there by Thursday. I found an instruction card in my daughter's laptop case for a Satellte A-10/A-15, so I am pretty sure we have an exact match to your system. Let me know if there are any problems.

Nelson, was on my door step when I got home.

Sent you an email, basically, I started it up to make sure it made the trip OK. It did.

Then I tore it down to the point I wasn't sure I'd get the screw back into the correct holes. I didn't actually count them but it felt like it was near 400 of them. Of which, 398 were different sizes.

Swapped out the screens, cleaned them out to a HUGE degree. Put it all back together and low and behold they both work, what a concept...

Bottom line. Thanks for a very smooth transaction, I greatly appreciate it.

I'm glad everything worked out. :D

Did you find a lot of crud in my daughter's old computer? She used to lay on the floor with the computer directly on the carpet. I told her she could ruin the computer that way. I eventually broke her of the habit, but then a little while later the thing started overheating.

I guess it worked out for her though. She has a new Dell now. Enjoy your computer!

In one of the corners there was enough beige fibers to make a small rug...

Honestly, not that bad. There was more actual dirt than I had thought was possible though. She is still watching the video via the DVD/CD player. No problems yet...

We will see.

I did spend just under three hours doing a very good job of cleaning them both. Figured it was time to do mine and what a great opportunity.

Hopefully it works out for all involved. And I know your daughter is happy, she got a new computer... LOL

Thanks again..
