I don't know if this is normal or not. I've only had my '05 XLT for a few weeks. Rides fine, smooth, quiet except at low (under 15 MPH) speeds when there is kind of a low rumble (can't think of an accurate descriptor) that IMHO seems to be tire noise but it increases a little when doing slow turns. Normal or back to the dealer time?

I only ask because our Ford Escape 4WD seems so quiet in comparison under the same conditions. I'm hoping it is because the ST is bigger with much bigger tires (stock sized).

THANKS.

If it sounds the same on both sides it is probably the tires. If it a whinning sound on one side it could be the hub assembly. This would also be more noticeable at low speeds and when you turn.
