LOW TIRE PRESSURE

I JUST BOUGHT A 07 TRAC.... I JUST PUT NEW WHEELS ON IT... USED THE SAME TIRES.... THIS MODEL COMES WITH LOW TIRE PRESSURE SENSORS... IT COST ABOUT $ 50.00 FOR EACH BAND TO HOLD THE SENSOR ON THE INSIDE OF THE RIM.

DOES ANYONE KNOW HOW TO TURN OFF THE WARNING LIGHT ON THE DASH BOARD SO I DON'T HAVE TO SPEND THE MONEY TO REPLACE THESE BANDS?

Our 04 Mountaineer has the same pressure sensing system, and I am not aware of any way to permanently disable the warnings. If there is a way, it would be through the carputer radio.



If you do find a way, report back...as that sensing system seems a little flaky at times and there have been times I would have liked to just disable it.

I doubt the dealer will tell you anything. Either pull the bulb (not a wise thing to do) or do it right and replace switch the sensors from the old wheels to the new.



Because there are so many stupid people out there is why we have those sensors in the wheel in the first place. Only in the USA can you stick your head in a lions mouth, then sue the lion and it's owner and win because you got bit. If the lion did not bite, you could still sue because it might not have been a real lion and you were mislead.
