Still waiting to buy a sport trac very few used v8s. My question is can I use a smaller diameter tire to lower the truck by 1.5 " . I need to get it under my 4 post lift. Would this effect the spedo and gas consumption ? Thanks for any responces

you should get a xcal to program your speedo for the change in tire/wheel size. plus you;ll get a bit more performance out of you Trac, even if it's stock.

I which from 30 Inch total tire size with my summer 20 and HP tires to 32inch total tire size with teh stock wheels and AT winter tires.

It's off my 2 or 3 mph at 40mph speeds.

Would you seriously think about removing the roof racks? Theres your inch and a half if not more and you don't have to spend any money!!! Its kinda like lettin' the air out of the tires to free a stuck truck...Bob

Yes I will also have to take roof racks off. I require 70 inches or less to be safe . I believe the sport trac is 72 " tall . If not I will park in my wifes spot.
